Summer Hairstyles

Heyy, as the weathers getting better and it's coming up towards summer I though I'd do a post about Summer hair and how to do them.

Fishtail- Bring the hair all the way around to one side of your head. Then split the hair down the middle with two equal sides. Take a small section from the back of one section and bring over to the other. Repeat this by taking a small section from the back of the section you added to and bring it over the top and add it to the other. Repeat this all the way down your hair and tie the end with a bobblle. On a scale 1-5 for difficulty i'd give this about a 2 as the first few times you do this it can be hard but it gets easier as you go along.

Half Up Half Down - You can use straight or curly hair so style as you would like. Then take a section clip and run through the front section of your hair at the front. Once you have the section of hair you can comb this back. You can either clip the hair using bobby pins or a bobble. The difficulty for this is 1 as it is one of the simplest hairstyles you can do.

Waterfall Braid - This can be done use straight or curly hair but I prefer to do this on curly hair as I think it looks prettier this way but it is your choice. Once you have styled your hair you need to take 3 section from the top of your head at either your left or right side. You then start of by doing a plait. Once you have brought the hair over two or three times you then bring the section furthest from your ear over the top of the middle section and under the section closest to your ear and drop this. You then bring a new section of hair from your hair furthest from your ear and do continue to plait. After bringing each section over once or twice you then repeat the action of dropping the hair again. When you are coming to the end of your hair length you then end with a normal 3 section plait. You then end this with a bobble. (really sorry if this was bad explaining if it easier to go on youtube and find a tutorial then you can do this also it's so hard to do on yourself as you can't see the back on your head so I'd suggest doing this on a friend or have a friend do this on you.) For the difficulty rating of this I'd give it a 3-4 it gets so much easier when you are used to doing it I had to practice a couple of times before I could do it properly but when you first start it gets confusing but comes naturally afterwards.

Halo Braids - First of all you need to section your hair down the middle and but a pony tail in one side to keep it out of the way. You then need to take a section from the back and tie or clip away the rest of the hair. You then plait your hair down and tie of with an elastic. You repeat this on the other side. Once you have both braids you bring one over the top of the head and clip it down using bobby pins. You repeat this with the other plait and bring your hair over the top to hide the bobby pins. The difficulty rating is about a 2 as it can be hard at first to hide the bobby pins and bring the plaits over but it is something you need to get used to.

Milkmaid Braids -You need to section the hair straight down the middle and clip or tie one section of hair out of the way. You then need to take the remaining section and plait it all the way down the hair using 3 section plaits and tie of with an elastic. You then repeat this on the other side. once you have got both plaits you need to take some bobby pins and bring the first plait over and clip in place. You then repeat this. The difficulty I would give this is about a 2.5-3 it is hard to clip in place and hide the bobby pins and the hair can sometimes fall out of the bobby pins.

Plait and Ponytail - I'm not sure what this is called and I'm sure most people have done it before but I strated by trying to do a french plait but it didn't work out so did this instead. You start of by taking 3 sections of hair at the top of your head and start by doing a normal plait. Once you have done this 2-3 times you add a small section of hair to the bit you are going to cross over next. you then repeat this action 3-4 more times. You then bring all of your hair into a pony tail which is around the middle of your head and tie with a bobble. The difficulty rating for this would be about a 1-1.5 as it's easy to do but I find french plaits hard to do so it can be difficult for me.

Hope this helped some people with summer or prom hair styles. In summer it is nice to get your hair up and out of your face as it is warm I know some teh hair is down but fringes and the front of your hair is out of your face which is nice in summer too. These are just something a bit different to a messy bun or a pony tail. Also it's so hard to describe these to everyone without being able to physically show you but hopefull you can understand if not please go on youtube and find a turtorial as I'd love you to try these.
Also follow my Instagram: instagram.com/hair_fashionx123 and comment. I haven't had any comments yet and I don't want to keep asking but it's really hard to think of ideas for twice a week uploads and I never know if anyone actually enjoys this blog or if anything I do helps people so I'd love to know and I would also love to know any ideas you have if you need help with anything beauty/fashion/hair related or even if people need help with school or life in general I'd love to be able to help. Also if you have any time and could share this with your friends that would be so lovely too. Excited for my next upload as i have an idea and started with pictures. Plus you can comment any suggestions/questions and I'll try and write a post about them or answering questions if I got any.

7 Days of Outfits.

First of all I'd like to say well done to everyone that has finished or are finishing there exams. I know it's been stressful but it's done now and it's time to relax. I hope everyone gets all the grades they'd like and I hope everyone has a great summer.

Today I'm writing about 7 days of my outfits I wore.

I wore this on Friday the 6th the weather was good and there was some sun. I wore it with tights because even though it was sunny there was still a small breeze. It's a comfy outfit that's casual so it was good when i went out with friends. I got the top from Primark, the shorts from New Look and my tights from Primark. I wore converse with this as there are comfy and casual.

I wore this on Saturday 7th the weather was good but not as sunny as the day before so I went for something that still looked good for summer but kept me warmer. I didn't do much that day so it was something that was comfy to just sit around in and didn't look too much. I got the top from Hollister, the jeans from Select. I wore some ballet pumps as they were light and went with the outfits and they are comfy if you are walking about for  a while.

I wore this on Sunday 8th in the morning it was really sunny so I though I'd wear shorts and try and get a tan but then later in the day it started raining. I just went around a few shops and to my nans house that day so it was casual and comfy. I wore they ballet pumps again as they went with the outfit and are comfy. The top is from Hollister and my shorts are from New Look.

I wore this outfit on  Monday 9th and I had an exam this day and when i was walking back it rained so I wanted to wear something that was warm and comfy. This day was a day where I revised for the last few exams. This outfit was really comfy to sit in all day. I got my hoody from school as it is the leavers and my leggings from Next. I was in all day so I didn't wear any shoes with this.

I wore this outfit on Tuesday 10th again I revised but took my dog out for a walk. This was something comfy to revise in. It was quite warm that day so it was a good outfit to wear when I went out. I got my top from H&M and my leggings from New Look. The shoes I worse were my ballet pumps. Later that day I went out for a run/walk with one of my friends so changed into trackies from New Look and put my Leavers Hoody on.

I wore this outfit on Wednesday 11th again I revised this day and took my dog for a walk. It was warm and there was some sun but it did rain lightly when I was walking my dog. I also put a coat with this and the same one with my outfit above. The coat was a parka but it lightweight so it wasn't to warm in it. the shoes I wore were my ballet pumps. My top was from Select and my jeans were also from Select.

I wore this outfit on Thursday 12th I had an exam and when I was walking home i realized how sunny it was so I decided to go for something that was light and summery. I also wanted something that i felt comfy in. My top is from New Look and my Skirt is also from New Look. The shoes I wore were my ballet pumps.

I wore this on Friday 13th this was the day of my last exam and walking home it was sunny but when I got back the sky looked a bit darker so I though I'd put something warmer on. This day I played football and Volleyball in some fields near mine and my friends houses we also watched films and went on a walk (whilst getting lost). The top was from Jane Norman and my trousers were from Primark. I also wore my ballet shoes.

I'd just like to say I'm really sorry if I went to much into what I did on each day I just wanted to show the clothes I wear when I do certain things so you can see what to wear if you do any of these things.
I hope you are enjoying my Blog so far and I will be uploading again on Wednesday.

Shower Routine.

Before I start this there's a few things I'd quickly like to say.
First of all I never know if people are enjoying what I write about, so could you all please leave a comment or if you like it follow my Instagram: instagram.com/hair_fashionx123
If you follow me on Instagram I will follow back but it could take a while as it is not my main account so I won't always be logged on there.

Secondly I'd like to say if you are enjoying theses posts what else would you like me to post about. Also I will be doing more hair things once I have started College as I will know more about hair and will be able to show you more things then but I will star doing more soon but I have a few more ideas to post about first of all.

Also I'm sorry if this isn't that good but I'm revising for my last few exams so haven't had much preparation time. I will be posting every Monday and Wednesday.

I was suggested by my friend to do a care routine for shaving my legs but I wasn't sure what to write about so I'm going to do a Shower Routine including shaving my legs.

The first thing I do is wash my hair A shampoo I have been loving recently is Herbal Essences Moroccan My Shine you can get this from boots and superdrug and most supermarkets. I love to use Moroccan Oil and Argan Oil on my hair as it gives my hair a nice shine and makes it feel soft and smooth. I wash my hair twice with the shampoo. I then move onto the conditioner which is also Herbal Essences Moroccan My Shine. With this I add some to my hand then rub it evenly over my hair. I then brush it through. The brush I use is usually a Tangle Teezer (available from most hairdressers) but you can use an ordinary brush. I then run my hands over my hair to see if there is any bits that need more conditioner and add small amounts to the areas that need it.

I then move onto washing my body. A shower gel I am loving at the moment is the Imperial Leather Invigorating Mango and Juicy Papaya you can get this from most supermarkets and boots and superdrug. The smell of it is really fruity and at this time of year I love smells like this. You don't need to use too much as it does lather up really well. The smell lasts on your skin really well for a while which I find important with shower gels.
I then wash my conditioner out I rinse my hair with water then brush through feeling where there is any conditioner in my hair and concentrate on those areas. I then rinse my hair again and check for any conditioner.

Next I move on to Shaving my legs. I use my shower gel and rub it over my legs. I then go around my leg in a sequence, once I have done my leg I rinse of any shower gel and then repeat this again on the same leg. I then do this on my other leg. I prefer to use a twin blade razor or a triple blade razor. I find that these are more safe because I have never cut my leg using these whereas I have a few time using a single blade razor. The one I use is the Gillette Women's Razor you can get this from most supermarkets or boots and superdrug.
After having my shower I like to use a body butter. I feel this helps after shaving your legs because it makes them feel much softer. I also use a body butter even if I don't shave my legs. I like my skin to feel soft. A body butter I have been loving at the moment is Sanctuary Spa Body Butter, this is available at boots.
Hope this was helpful and hope you try these products and love them as much as I do.

Spring and Summer Makeup

This is some of my favourite makeup products at the moment.
I first start with applying the Lasting Perfection foundation I apply to pumps of the foundation to the back of my hand and apply with my brush from Salon Services. I think the foundation is good to use because it stay in place well and it's easy to apply. The brush is also good at applying the foundations because it gives you an even finish without needing to use to much foundation.
I then apply the MUA Hide & Conceal concealer. I add this to any spots I have and under my eyes. I rub this in with the same brush i used for my foundation.
Next I add the Lasting Perfection Powder. I don't use too much of this as it can make skin look too dark. I add it to my powder brush and add to the 'T-Zone' and any parts that are oily.
I then add blusher. The one I am using at the moment is the Colour Boutique Bronzing Booklet. I add a small amount onto a blusher brush and suck my cheeks in. I then following my cheekbones and add it to them. I start with a small amount and add more afterwards so I don't put too much on.
I the move onto my eyes. Using my brush I get the MUA eye shadow. This is a light pink but it comes out more neutral which I think is nice because I prefer my makeup to be more natural. I apply this all over my eyelid up to the crease and lightly apply it upwards.
Next I draw on my eyebrows using the Rimmel London Professional Eyebrow Pencil. I prefer these to look natural so I  start by following my natural eyebrow. I then add more where it needs to be darker. Using the  brush on the end of the pencil I brush through to get rid of harsh lines and make the colour lighter.
I then move on to Mascara, I sometimes curl them depending on the Mascara. With the 2true Pro Wow mascara I don't need to use curlers. I apply 3-4 coats of mascara on each side and add more if I need too.
Next I paint my nails. The nail varnish I use to go with this makeup is an MUA nail polish, this is in Lilac. I use this one because it is a light colour and not to overpowering. I paint all my nails and do two coats because I think it looks better and it stops them from chipping as easily.
I then add lip gloss. For this look I use the Tanya Burr lip gloss in first date. I apply this too my lips and rub it in, making sure it is even over my lips.

This is another makeup look I like for Spring. I use the same foundation, concealer, powder and blusher and follow the same steps for them.
After doing that I move on to eyes. The eye shadow I am using for this is a Ted Baker Shimmer. (This was in a set so this is a link to an image of the full set. http://beaut.ie/wp-content/uploads/2012/11/Ted-Baker-A-Star-Is-Born.jpg ) I apply this over my eyelid and and blend it in all over and up to my crease upwards.
I then draw on my eyebrows using the Rimmel London Professional Eyebrow Pencil. I follow my natural eyebrow and add more to the parts that need to be darker. I then brush through with the brush on the end to blend in and get rid of harsh lines.
I then do my mascara. For this I use Collection Big Fake Ultimate Mascara. Again using this mascara I don't need to curl my eyelashes. I apply 3-4 coats of this.
I then paint my nails, this look is very natural with a hint of pink in. So to add the pink I use the One Direction Nail Varnish. The one I use is 'Fuschia  Frenzy' I use two coats of this to prevent it from chipping and I think it looks nicer with a second coat.
I then add my lipstick. The lipstick I am using for this look is MUA Lipstick. I think this was shade 15, it comes out as pink which also adds to the look.

I'm really sorry this was so long I found it difficult to explain how I apply my makeup without it being confusing. I hope you like this. Follow my Instagram: http://instagram.com/hair_fashionx123 and comment if you like this, any improvements and what you would like me to review or write about.

Last Day Of School

This is something like I feel I need to get out and write down. It was the last day of school today and it was very emotional. I will honestly miss everyone, I think even the people I might not of spoken to much I will miss. It has been a big part of my life and it makes me sad thinking I will never see most people again. It just feels like a big part of my life is gone and there's an empty space that can't be filled. Even though I am excited to go to College I'm also so nervous and it scares me how many people I am leaving behind and that I will have new friends. I want to stay in contact with so many people because they are who made me who I am at the moment. I know there's been so many bad times but the good times and memories take over that completely. I wish everyone a brilliant future and to have happiness and luck in everything they want to do in life. Also the same too people who might be reading this and good luck in your last exams and hope you did well in your other exams. If you aren't in year 11 then I wish you good luck for when you are and make sure you stay calm when it's your exams and have plenty of tissues for your last day and if you have an assembly as it's really emotional. And also make sure you make as many friends as you can before it rushes to the end as it is one of my biggest regrets not getting to know everyone before the last few months.

Also if you are enjoying my blog please leave me some feedback and anything you might want me to talk about and follow me on instagram:

May Favourites.

These are a few things  I've been loving recently, there's a few different things.

One Direction Our Moment - I really like this at the moment. I think the smell of it is good for all year round. I got the gift set which came with a shower gel as well. I haven't got around to using that yet but I'm hoping it's as good as they perfume. As I am a fan of One Direction I was really happy when I got this and fell in love with the smell. I can't wait to try 'That Moment' as well. I got this from The Perfume Shop. It ranges from £19.99-£38.50.

VO5 Smoothly Does It Frizz Free Creme - I really like this at the moment. I have naturally frizzy hair and I have tried lots of different products to try and frizz free hair. This is one of the best products I have used so far. Even though it doesn't get rid off all the frizz it does help a lot. It makes it easier to straighten and curl my hair after drying it. As it has heat defence in I can use this straight on my hair when drying it. I got this from Superdrug and it was £3.89

Joey Essex A- Lister Locks Extreme Hold Hairspray - I really like this hairspray at the moment. When I use most hairsprays if you put to much on then my hair become sticky and hard i struggle brushing some hairsprays out. This one hasn't gone stick or hard on my hair yet and it brushes out easy. It has a nice smell to it and doesn't stay in your room to long like the smell of most hairsprays. I got this from Tesco and it was £2.99.

Argan Secret  Miracle 10 - I really like this at the moment. It is a leave in spray and it protects your hair from heat and helps to strengthen the hair whilst giving it a shine. i struggle to find good heat protectors for my hair as it get dry really easily and i suffer from split ends a lot. this one has been working well and it gives me a shine to my hair without making it look greasy. i got this from Salon Services and it was around £14.00

Meet The Vamps CD and Story of The Vamps DVD - I really like the CD and DVD. I am a fan of The Vamps I think the CD is really good and love all the songs on it. I'm always playing it when I'm revising or getting ready. The DVD is really good and makes you laugh and smile at times. I enjoyed watching it as it does show you the story of how they got together and you get to hear it from then and not from things that could of had things added on the internet. I got this of their website.

Tanya Burr First Date Lip Gloss - Really liking this Lip Gloss at the moment. It smells of Strawberries and is a light pink. Most Lip Glosses don't come out as the colour they look in the bottle but this one does. I got it from Superdrug for £6.99

Bracelets - I really like these at the moment. My friend at school makes them and she made me these two. I really like them because they are simple and no to much. they go with most things and they will always be a memory for me when I've left school. You can get the kits of ebay from 99p and are more depending how many you get in the kit. I also think you can get a bag with the clasps in from most corner shops.

MUA nail Varnishes - I like these nail varnishes at the moment. These colours remind me of Spring so they are good for now. They Lilac and Green will look good in Spring and Summer. The Grey will look good all year around. They definitely need two coats as they are very light at first. I have been putting about 3 coats on as i like them to be dark and it last longer without chipping. I got them from Superdrug for £1.00 each.

Ballet Shoes - I love these shoes at the moment. They are really good for Spring and Summer. They are netted with a daisy print on them. You can get them in black and white. They go with shorts and they will be good to make a skirt or dress more casual. I got these from George at Asda for £8.00

Necklace - I really like this necklace. I think it can make an outfit. Without being to much I think it works well. I like that it has different coloured flowers on because it can go with more things that have one of the colours in. I got this from Primark and it was round about £4.00-£6.00

Hope this can help you if you needed some inspiration for beauty hair and jewelry. I'm really sorry if the photos and that good quality I'm just trying new places and backgrounds to take my photos.
